Creating community through food

Ladies Who Create is a program that fosters meaningful relationships and allows women in design to lean into leadership skills, sharpen their craft, and drive initiatives that have a real impact on the community.

This has been a challenging and isolating year, to say the least. Many of us have been spending a lot more time at home cooking, baking, and trying new recipes. In these difficult times, it’s often the food of our childhoods and family traditions that brings us comfort.

Though we haven’t been able to spend time together in person, we wanted to create a feeling of hygge—a Scandinavian word to describe a mood of coziness and togetherness that fosters wellness and contentment—with you in the creative community.

Breaking bread has always been a way to create community, and what better way to come together than to share the traditions and cultures that make up who we are? Let’s swap delicious recipes while giving each other a glimpse into the stories and people behind the food!

We’re proud to introduce the first Ladies Who Create Cookbook, brought to you by the incredible people of the Ladies Who Create community. This cookbook features talented, creative women who have submitted their recipes and stories.
